With an array of current procedures and technologies available, people who want to improve their physical appearance now have the option to avoid going under the knife. A combination of non-surgical processes can be used to restore your youthful glow without surgery.

As we age, the volume in our face loses, especially in the lips, temples, cheeks, under the eyes, and around the mouth. Through the use of fillers, that lost volume will be replaced for a vibrant and youthful look. And, this is the main goal of a non-surgical “liquid facelift”.

What Exactly Is Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is a non-surgical treatment that addresses the effects of aging. It offers age-defying results such as facial contouring, volumizing, and wrinkle correction. It lifts, fills, re-contours, pumps, and smooths the face with the use of injectable fillers.

In addition to providing patients with more natural-looking and longer-lasting results, a liquid facelift is also popularly known for being a safer option than traditional surgical facelifts as well as a more affordable option too.

Why Do People Get Liquid Facelift?

  • The physical benefits are the main reasons why increasingly more people consider getting a liquid facelift. The cost is just an added benefit (maybe for some).
  • Additionally, the treatment is safe. In fact, it shows a lesser number of complications compared to traditional procedures.
  • There is no intensive recovery and downtime, too. The liquid facelift can be performed in office between break hours. After all, the treatment only takes a few minutes.
  • It also involves utilization of volume-improving injections to add contours and lifts to the face. So, you can walk out of your office with your new look without any hassle at all!

Liquid Facelift Process

Each injection only takes a few minutes and target areas like sagging cheeks, jawline, the temples, under the eyelid, creases beside the mouth or eyes, and nasolabial folds between the mouth and nose (marionette lines).

Liquid facelifts are not permanent, thereby, giving you an option to change the way you age over time with a more natural look. Depending on the area treated, the maintenance appointments may be required every 6 to 18 months. You can see results in just a few days of the initial procedure.

The Dermal Fillers Used In A Liquid Facelift

In liquid facelifts, there are only two dermal fillers used in the entire procedure: botox and hyaluronic acid fillers.

  • Botox: A dermal filler that is made from a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum known as botulinum toxin. Botox blocks the nerve impulses that result in muscle contractions. When injected in a particular area, the muscles that are accountable for making certain facial expressions become relaxed. This eventually creates a smoothed, younger look of the skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid Fillers: Another dermal filler that is injected into the skin. The purpose is to minimize and smooth lines and wrinkles. When injected, the acid also makes skin look bright and fresh. It can also be injected into damaged joints in order to increase joint padding.

When To Consider A Liquid Facelift

If you wish to reduce the signs of aging and bring back a more youthful appearance, a liquid facelift should be considered. Early treatment of the signs of aging can successfully prevent or interrupt the need for costlier and more intensive treatment later on.
